courtney is a writer and producer
I’m an award-winning writer and documentary & podcast producer interested in stories of belief and transformation.
I was previously a Senior Producer at Pineapple Street Studios, where I produced more than a dozen audio documentaries including The Competition, the Peabody-nominated series Running from COPS, and Dupont finalist 9/12, which was named a best podcast of the year by The New Yorker, New York Times, Time, and more. I also wrote and hosted What We Spend, a weekly exploration of how money shapes every part of our lives, which was praised by The New York Times, Vulture, and The Guardian.
Before Pineapple, I wrote features for the Denver alt-weekly Westword, made radio at the Pittsburgh NPR affiliate, and cut interviews for the Longform podcast. I have an MFA in nonfiction writing from the University of Pittsburgh.
I’m currently producing a feature-length documentary and executive producing a series forthcoming from the BBC.
